What is a co-employment relationship?
Co-employment is a relationship whereby employees receive the benefit of having more than one employer. You remain the employer of site. With this, you retain control of hiring, firing, responsibilities, etc. With the co-employer relationship, you are not relinquishing any control of your employees. However, you are reducing your liabilities. Through the co-employer relationship, the PEO becomes the employer of record and assumes certain responsibilities and liabilities.
